Chapter 10: Feminist Ponographer
I enjoy that Betty could find the humor in any situation and that she was willing to say things out loud. This particular excerpt made me smile, page 118, which was a response at a feminist discussion where they were arguing about sexual labels:
” “How nice it would be if our gathering turned into an orgy which would solve all our problems,” I threw in with a smile. “We could just be plain old sexual.” Total silence as my comment floated like a turd in a cut glass punch bowl for an endless moment before passionate arguing resumed.”
